The customized jigs for bone surgery were dispayed at the Dutch Design Week 2016. As a freelancer I worked on several TU Delft projects which were displayed at the Mind The Step exhibition at the DDW 2016. This project concerns customized jigs for bone tumor surgery, to increase the cutting accuracy of the surgeon. The patient specific jigs are generated from a 3D model based on CT or MRI data, using an algorithm created by Prof. Charlie Wang.

My work for the customized bone jigs project included designing the physical presentation of the bone jigs for the exhibition. Another important task was to make a video explaining the whole process from diagnosis to fabrication and use of the jigs during surgery. I decided to make a cartoon-style video in order to make the topic accessible to a broad audience (including children). I also generated and 3D printed the jigs for the interactive exhibition display.
