The customized wetsuit was dispayed at the Dutch Design Week 2016. As a freelancer I worked on several TU Delft projects which were displayed at the Mind The Step exhibition at the DDW 2016. This project concerns a customized wetsuit based on a 3D full body scan, where the wetsuit parts are generated by flattening algorithms of Prof. Charlie Wang. My work for the customized wetsuit project included designing the physical presentation of the wetsuit and making a video explaining the whole process from 3D body scan to fabrication. I had to make a custom mannequin for the wetsuit based on a 3D scan. I chopped up the STL of the scan into 33 parts, which were then used to machine parts out of foam and 3D print some smaller parts, which I assembled into the mannequin.
