As a part of an internship for Atelier Willem Noyons and Naked Architecture I worked on the project U-tope: a sustainable mobile holiday home which is self-sufficient in energy and water. The U-tope project is a joint project by architects, (industrial) designers and other partners. Two student teams were working on the project when I joined. One of my tasks was to communicate with the student teams and other stakeholders. My main task was to perform a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) in order to find ways of reducing the environmental impact of the U-Tope. By exploring and testing other materials I managed to generate two concepts which cut the carbon footprint in half.
